Who are the Windrush generation?

The Windrush generation arrived in the UK between the late 1940s and early 1970s, invited to help rebuild Britain after the second world war. Since 2012, however, when the then home secretary Theresa May launched a crackdown on immigration, many members and their children have faced uncertainty and had their access to public services blocked
